Photographer Stephen R. Brown was given access to the construction site during the building of the WWII Memorial. He has gathered many of his beautiful full-color photographs into a 90-page book called, "Jewel of the Mall". The photographs are exclusive because of Brown's special access to the site and include panoramic scenes of the new face of the Mall. The book includes a documentary on the creation and installation of the sculpture and marble ornamentation that is part of the WWII Memorial.
